Group Make-up Policy

Please remember to do your makeup lessons either the week before, the week of, or the week after! I think there has been some confusion to this point, the point of the series is to be consistent to achieve the best results, when we miss weeks or months on end, it makes it hard for the kids to make progress, and we all want to see the best possible results! The 11 lessons are for 11 weeks in a row, makeup lessons do not carry over to the end of the series, or months down the line! Also, keep in mind to give the students the opportunity to be successful! Sometimes when we take a significant amount of time off from lessons, (could be a month, but certainly 8 or 10 months!) there can be some regression. We need to allow them to grow back into their comfort of the water. Don't be discouraged if the first time, or even the first few times back, they aren't doing the same level of skills as they used to do! This is a big learning step, and the best way to work through it is to be supportive and loving and allow them to be where they are at! If we are comfortable in the water and know that each day brings us closer to happy babies, we will see the progress! This is also true for making the step up from baby class to toddler class, the toddler classes are more structured and take some adjusting to. Don't give up on your child! The end result is worth it!
